Help to stem the tide of climate change now!

March 27th, 2009 · 2 Comments

Each one of us can play a part in helping to stem the tide of climate change that is causing havoc on planet earth.

The first step is to simply turn off your lights for one hour from 8:30 Saturday evening (28th March) for just one hour. Why not prepare a romantic candle lit dinner, or sit outdoors and look at the stars?

Climate change is threatening the people that live on the planet and entire species of plant and animal life whose habitat is no longer what it was.

If we can turn the tide, we stand the chance of creating a sustainable future for our children. If we don’t then who knows what awaits us.

Earth hour will send a powerful message to the world, to industry and to politicians.

Join the rest of the world and turn off the lights at 8:30 p.m.earth hour

I personally think we have left it too late. It is a shame that for so many years people have been warning us about this problem, but because money rules big buisiness and governments it has been put on the back burner. Whatever we do now will not stop the inevitable, it may slow it down. But it is too little too late, maybe. No one wanted to look to the future, only their lifetime and what they could enrich themselves with.

Wake up. Better late then ever. It is a shame that for so many years people have been warning us about this problem, but because money rules big business and governments it has been put on the back burner. Whatever we do now will not stop the inevitable, it may slow it down. But it is too little too late, maybe. No one wanted to look to the future, only their lifetime and what they could enrich themselves with.
